Loved Lake Egirdir

29 Jul

I am slowly returning to reality after a two week vacation on the Mediterranean Coast of Turkey.  Trying to make sense of the photos and experiences is a little overwhelming, so going with my remaining vacation zen I am just posting snippets…

As you may have read, the first day of our trip was rocky.  Our planned travel route was literally a dead end, the Jeep’s A/C went out in weather in the 100’s, and our hotel did not have A/C.   However, Lake Egirdir, redeemed the trip.

Borrowed from Google Images

We stayed on a tiny island, Yesilada, in the southern expanse of the this huge lake.  Surrounded by the crystal clear water and mountains, you couldn’t help but be awed.  The vibe was relaxed and the water was cool.  It was exactly what we needed after such a tense morning of travel.
